We all agree the EuroHockey league is a special tournament. Not only for the clubs, teams and players who work all year to be one of the best team in the country and win the EHL entrance ticket, but also for the umpires appointed.
The EHL KO16, that took place in Hamburg this year, showed me that, even after 15 years of international hockey, you can still be like a kid in a candy shop during a tournament.
For us, it is four very intense days where you juggle between the pitch, the video truck and the reserve bench.
Sixteen games in a row and all of them matter!

Great article Celine. The EHL is a great event, very well presented on TV and with match passes at 6.99 euros, very good value. It’s a good watch for any umpire wishing to learn. Liked the way you in particular managed the players, with good humour but leaving no-one in doubt who was in charge. Best of luck for the future.
