State of Play: Decision making and accuracy key to England women’s success

With the Women’s Hockey World Cup just around the corner, England women’s Pro League fixtures carry greater importance to that of the men. So, how are England faring before their journey to Amstelveen?

England have looked aggressive and dangerous when they employ their high press. They are capable of putting teams under real pressure and stealing the ball in the opposition half. Once they gain possession the English then look to counterattack at pace.
