As a parent of an aspiring 15yr old hockey player and a 17 year old elite tennis player, I can see big differences between the technical and personal approach to tennis coaching vs. hockey… Is there maybe an opportunity for hockey clubs to get more of their best seniors involved in coaching juniors, rather than have 1 or 2 coaches trying to deal with 20 juniors in a 1hr session? I would imagine more 1-2-1 coaching of young talent will feed the senior pool with players who have better technical skills.
