GB Hockey aim to take Test matches, events outside of London

England and Great Britain Hockey are aiming to take Test matches across the country after several years using their base at Lee Valley.

International matches have been sparse at venues outside of London since the 2012 Olympics, but the launch of Big Stadium Hockey at Twickenham’s Stoop in 2019 has given rise to the opportunity of playing at different stadia, while earlier this year clubs were asked to bid for the turf.

“Without a doubt,” said Nick Pink, GB Hockey’s chief executive, on taking hockey across the UK.
