Now South Africa juniors pay to play at Junior Hockey World Cup

South Africa are no strangers of ‘paying to play’ at elite level.

Crowdfunding formed part of South Africa’s story at the Tokyo Olympics and the same has now been bestowed upon the under-21 team ahead of the Junior World Cup in Bhubaneswar.

South Africa’s junior players needed to raise around £2,200 each in order to travel to India next week ahead of the junior showpiece tournament.
