Paris Olympic hockey schedules revealed

Great Britain men and Spain will kick start this summer’s Olympic hockey competition after the 14-day schedule was released on Wednesday.

The 12-strong men’s and women’s competitions will start on Saturday July 27 at Yves-du-Manoir Stadium when Paul Revington’s side face the Spanish at 10am local time.

World champions Germany, who qualified in Oman before the pools were revealed in January, will begin their quest for a first Olympic gold since London 2012 when they push back against France on the opening day at 5pm local time.

In Pool B, Olympic men’s champions Belgium face Ireland, who are returning to the Olympic for the first time since Rio 2016.
