‘Never felt more comfortable’: Tess Howard revels as England leave Ireland short

Monchengladbach — Perusing some of the comments The Hockey Paper received on social media, following columnist Lily Owsley’s piece on England becoming the first international team to wear a combination of skorts and shorts, there are those who care not one jot for women’s kit revolution.

Try telling that to Tess Howard, the spearhead behind the initiative. In this breakthrough moment, one where players now have the choice and comfort of what to wear, Howard naturally scored such a goal which underlined the hours put into her research findings.

“I’ve never felt more comfortable in a hockey match,” she told The Hockey Paper following England’s 3-0 opening win over Ireland here.
