Danny Kerry: Focusing on Euro Hockey title not Olympics is key

Danny Kerry, England men’s coach, says that not treating the EuroHockey as Olympic preparation has put his side best-placed for title glory.

England, the only team in the men’s competition with a 100 per cent record from the Pool stages, take on Germany on Thursday afternoon looking for their first final berth since 2009.

“I was very clear that this wasn’t a preparation tournament for the Olympics, this was a European Cup with England and we were here to not let a major tournament pass us by,” said Kerry.
