Laurine Delforge has been selected to umpire at her third Olympics this summer, but she has earnt the call-up while also representing Belgium as captain at indoor hockey and maintaining a career as a legal consultant.
“It’s a no-brainer to just carry on with the three activities because that’s where I find my well-being and my balance,” says Delforge.
“It’s a lot of time management. Hockey doesn’t pay the bills, that’s for sure, so you have your full-time job that you need to live. But for me, they completely help each other.”
