Uni student unearths club member with Commonwealth twist

WATCH: Anthony Hanc produced an insightful short film on a former international player, writes TOM KIPLING

A university student spent six weeks compiling footage of his local hockey club as part of a degree project – and discovered his interview subject had the rare accolade of claiming to have competed in two sports at the same Commonwealth Games.

Anthony Hanc, a 19-year-old photography student at Oxford Brookes University, was tasked with making a short film as one of his university modules. For this, he decided to do it with Ealing HC and Anthony Jones, a coach at the club. However, THP has found no record of him competing in Kuala Lumpur in 1998.
