From Bazball to Revsball? England enjoying Hockey World Cup under Paul Revington

Rourkela — Captain David Ames admitted that England’s hockey version of ‘Bazball’ employed by his cricket counterpart Ben Stokes has given them the X-Factor under revered coach Paul Revington after a thumping 5-0 win in their men’s World Cup opener in India.

After a good luck tweet from the Royal Family, England put on a five star show to open the brand new 21,000-seater stadium in Rourkela in fine style.

Nick Park scored his first international goal, Liam Ansell scored a powerful penalty corner double, Phil Roper sliced open the Welsh defence with a sizzling backhand and Nick Bandurak netted his 22nd goal in only his 21st international.

    I hope England go better than 4th place in which they finished three times running.
    I’m dreaming of an England v India final.
