Euro Hockey 2021: Homework and attack sees Holland and Germany fight for title

THP columnist Todd Williams assesses how Netherlands and Germany advanced to the European Hockey Championships men’s final

While falling short of the Belgium v Germany game at the 2019 Euros in terms of sheer quality, it was great to see a game of skill and entertainment, tension and standing being played in Thursday night’s semi-final.

The perception is that Dutch coach Max Caldas has really set sail with his team. They went hard at Belgium in the last Pro League game and came away with a 4-0 outcome.
