England Hockey has issued another apology as it looks to rectify the disastrous problems of the Game Management System (GMS) which have blighted the start of the grass roots leagues and left clubs lambasting the new system ahead of the opening weekend proper of the domestic season.
Over the last few weeks many clubs and volunteers have openly expressed concerns over the sluggish performance of the GMS, as well as data security fears, which hasn’t gone unnoticed by EH as it attempts to fix the problems reverting to a ‘game changing’ system.
As The Hockey Paper outlined recently in an opinion column, the GMS is hopefully set to streamline the sport as well as boost hockey leagues down the line with its digital capabilities in compiling statastics and records for every player and official.
