Alan Forsyth “merited” selection for Team GB men, while he would be included in any Olympic squad for Tokyo.
That is the view of former Scottish international Laurence Docherty after Forsyth, 29, was left out of Team GB’s 16-strong squad for the upcoming Games.
Scottish-born Docherty caused a furore in the sport after he switched allegiances to obtain Dutch citizenship after going public in 2003. It followed his omission from Team GB’s squad for the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
