Secret Hockey Umpire: How to be proactive to avoid crowding

Crowding usually occurs when video referrals happen and international umpires are more aware of it. But it does happen outside the referral process too! It happens at contentious moments, says our Secret Umpire.

What do we consider crowding? It is when more than one player approaches the umpire and gets into the umpires space or face.
This issue is often threatened to be dealt with but seldom done so on the field. It is an element we want to take better control of and the only way to do this is to carry out the threat. We need to green card the second person crowding the umpire.
