England Hockey over 80s (and WAGS) gather for trials ahead of Dutch selection

England Over 80s’ own WAGS — the ‘wives and grannies’ — have been present on the sidelines as trials ramp up for selection ahead of next year’s internationals against the Dutch.

England Hockey held their annual trials at Oxford Hawks in September with another to come at Olton, such is the volume of interest at O80 Masters Hockey level.

Around 25 players have been involved in the trials, with three over 86 which is some feat of longevity in itself.
