England men set for Germany cauldron at EuroHockey semi-finals

Monchengladbach — England players and coaches have heaped praise on standout Nick Park following two match awards in a row and performances which have made team-mates follow him into the EuroHockey cauldron.

“There was a PC breakdown where he went point blank into the line of fire,” Brendan Creed said after England’s pulsating 4-3 win over Spain. “Sometimes you take it for granted and he puts that shield on and does it again. What a human! And it’s infectious throughout the team.”

“You have certain individuals who will do everything for the team,” Creed added, “and once again he’s proved he will do it.”
