EuroHockey 2023: We need to have Dutch courage, says England women star Lily Owsley

Monchengladbach — England women’s Lily Owsley has urged her side to show Dutch courage on Thursday night and halt another Oranje progression to a major final.

England play the Netherlands in the EuroHockey semi-final in a repeat of the 8-0 defeat at the same stage four years ago on Wednesday. Two years ago, England failed to reach the last four and are eager to right some wrongs.

Yet, they will attempt to do so against the continued formidable record formed by the Dutch women, an eye-opening set of statistics which show just how hard the task will be.
