“He is a detailed, meticulous coach. On the ball, on the ball.” It doesn’t take long for Arul Anthoni Selvaraj to extoll the virtues of Paul Revington, the man entrusted with lifting British men’s hockey.

“Every team he takes, he makes a vast improvement in a very short period and you can see that with the English team. That’s his strength,” says the current Malaysia men’s coach. “Having worked with him, I can say that he is the best trainer on the pitch in terms of planning and his details.”
