City of Peterborough launches free elite hockey development programme

City of Peterborough Hockey Club has launched an elite development programme, an initiative designed to provide young hockey players with intensive training and development during the summer.

The programme will be run over 10 sessions and will be provided free of charge to selected players, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Frank Bothamley.

The Elite Development Programme is a unique opportunity for players aged 14-25 to receive top-notch training and development from the experienced team at the Hockey 4 U Academy run by Neil Evans, ex-National League player, and Gareth Andrew, the former England international.

In addition to the training provided by the Hockey 4 U Academy, the Frank Bothamley Elite Development Programme is sponsored by Eleven Hockey, a leading supplier of hockey equipment and apparel.

This sponsorship will enable the City of Peterborough Hockey Club to provide the selected players with the best equipment and resources, ensuring that they have everything they need to succeed.

Bothamley hopes to run these summer training sessions over several years to build up a base of exceptional players at COPHC.

  1. A great initiative at City of Peterborough Hockey Club developing the players of the future who hopefully progress to first team and Nation League Hockey level of play.
