Masters Talk: Our house was closest to the phone for captains to ring in results

Glenn Crowhurst says playing Masters hockey like a 'Men’s Shed', you have mates you can talk to about anything.

In his latest Masters player profile, Mark McElligott chats with Glenn Crowhurst, an Australian from Winmalee near Springwood in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. Glenn plays keeper and has enjoyed both state and national Selection and a deal of success.

What city or town do you live in: Winmalee, a suburb in the Blue Mountains near Sydney.

When did you start playing hockey: I was 12 when my family emigrated to Australia from the UK in 1964. My dad had played hockey in India in his childhood and with the Navy and then played for Brighton and Hove when Mum and he left India in 1947. When we got to Australia, we moved into a house at Baulkham Hills and dad started The Baulkham Hills District Hockey Club in 1968.
