‘Strikingly overlooked’: Foundation sets out agenda to stem youth sports injury

Ron Dennis, the founder and chairman of Podium Analytics, says that sports injury in the youth is “strikingly overlooked” following its partnership with England Hockey and other major sports in a multi-million pound investment over the next decade.

The partnership with England Hockey will see a cost-free injury insight platform rolled out to over 800 clubs, impacting 160,000 hockey players.

Podium Analytics was formed in 2019 before last month launching the foundation to address sports-related injuries in 11 to 18-year-olds. It has linked up with the University of Oxford to forge changes in sport and physical education and will directly address the severe lack of data relating to youth sport injury.
