The hockey season is starting soon. It’s the time of the year that many hockey players start thinking about or in some cases worrying about pre-season fitness.

Perhaps it’s a fear that your lungs might explode out of your chest or puffing away while everyone else seems to be ok, which just highlights your poor commitment to staying fit.

Before You Start

Depending on what you’ve been doing over the last few months should determine how you approach pre-season. You want to progress gradually to prevent picking up any niggles going into the season, while also preparing your body for the demand of playing hockey.
