Why Tokyo Olympics would have been trip of a lifetime for the hockey

Were you thinking of going to the Olympics? Claire Middleton reports on why hockey fans would have enjoyed the Japanese capital

If watching Belgium’s Red Lions live was worth the flight alone, the respite is you have at least saved the cost of a second mortgage to pay for the hotel room – even if the only ticket you could get was a 0-0 women’s pool game.

Now that we all have to watch the hockey on TV, in any year other than a pandemic there would have been plenty going on to make the trip an experience of a lifetime.

So for a few minutes let’s transport you to Tokyo and my guide to the Games as if we were all there.
