The youngest athlete on the Team GB sailing team says the competitive nature in hockey has been key to her successes as a top-class windsurfer – which included playing at 6am before school.
Emma Wilson, 22, will aim to win Britain’s first women’s windsurfing Olympic medal since 2008 when she competes in Tokyo.
Wilson is a former regional, county and JRPC hockey representative, having been taught by GB women’s international Leah Wilkinson at Bournemouth Collegiate School, before windsurfing took hold.
