‘Hugely instrumental’: Tributes continue to flow for Craig Keegan

Hollie Pearne-Webb remembers her first memory of Craig Keegan. With no hockey on TV, the future England and GB women’s captain asked her parents if she could stay at Belper and watch the men’s national league match. 

“He was the standout player in the men’s team,” Pearne-Webb told The Hockey Paper. “He was passionate, and the game was exciting to watch.”

  1. A great competitor and clearly a very positive influence for the GB ladies. Craig was passionate and a very effective player. He’s probably scoring goals for fun in heaven. Love to his family ,he will be missed.
