‘In our hands still’: captain Pearne-Webb rues England’s one-sided defeat

Amsterdam — “I don’t think I am biased when I say we were on top for the whole of that game.” So said a downbeat captain Hollie Pearne-Webb after New Zealand came away 3-1 winners over England in their second World Cup match here.

“It’s outrageous,” added the 31-year-old. “We still had a ridiculous amount of PCs and I don’t think we have played a game like that so one-sided and we’ve lost.”
