World hockey remain buoyant on finances despite Pro League losses

Thierry Weil, the International Hockey Federation chief executive, has said that there was “no risk” of the world governing body becoming insolvent.

The FIH faced questions on its finances at its virtual Congress over the weekend – including two financial points of question by England Hockey – while FIH officials made it clear that signed contracts on its flagship Pro League and World Cups over the next three years would see the sport become more financially stable.
