Women’s Hockey World Cup: England find ‘fire in belly’ as Korea ousted

Amsterdam — An expletive-laden team talk from Giselle Ansley paved the way for England women’s 5-0 win over Korea on Sunday.

England were coasting at 3-0 to the good at the Estadio Olimpico in Terrassa before David Ralph’s side stepped off the gas in the third quarter of their fourth World Cup match.

The host broadcasters have captured several England teams huddle at this World Cup letting fly with their language – they will continue to do so if they stick their TV cameras in at key times – but it didn’t stop Ansley expressing her frustration in the short team talk, followed by David Ralph’s equally choice words.
