Emily Drysdale has a “real future in the game” after the Exeter student made her international hockey debut last year with Wales women.
That’s the verdict of Wales assistant coach Walid Abdo, who was present in Pisa as the Welsh came close to qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.
Abdo has had a busy year with Cardiff & Met HC men’s duties, head coach of Wales under-23 as well as assisting Kevin Johnson as coach of Wales women. And 2022 will be no different, with more Euro adventures and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham to savour.
“Emily has a real future in the game,” Abdo told The Hockey Paper. “She is athletic, quick, smart and has good technical ability.”
