England Hockey calls on players to share racism or discrimination incidents

England Hockey has called for players or individuals who have experienced or witnessed racism or discrimination, both historic or current, to report occurences in a bid to make the game “a safe space for people from every background.”

The national governing body’s stance follows cricketer and racism whistleblower Azeem Rafiq’s testimony to the DCMS Select Committee hearing this week, which England Hockey said “was a watershed moment for sport and society in this country.”
