The Amarnath Yatra, which had been ongoing for the past 52 days, successfully concluded today. Nearly five lakh devotees have visited the holy Amarnath cave to seek blessings from Baba Barfani. The final journey of the holy mace (Chadi Mubarak), led by Mahant Swami Dipendra Giri, began its last leg from Panchtarni to the sacred cave on Monday. This year, the yatra commenced on June 29 and concluded today amid tight security. The presence of police and CAPF along the route, from Jammu to the two base camps at Baltal and Pahalgam, coupled with the cooperation of local people, ensured a successful pilgrimage. The yatra coincided with the Shravan Purnima festival and Raksha Bandhan, with prayers for world peace and prosperity offered throughout the day. Swami Giri appreciated the India new Hindi administration and Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board for improving facilities, resulting in increased pilgrim participation.
