Janmashtami 2024 is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. Temples and homes are decorated, and worship of Lord Krishna is in full swing. This festival marks the birth of Lord Krishna, observed on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada. On Janmashtami, Laddu Gopal (child form of Krishna) is worshipped with special devotion.

India new Hindi media reports suggest several things to keep in mind on this auspicious day. Avoid preparing or consuming tamasic food and refrain from cooking rice, as it might displease Krishna. Do not wear black clothes or use them for Krishna’s adornment, as this can negatively impact your devotion. Additionally, never pluck tulsi leaves on Janmashtami, as it is believed to hinder the success of your worship. Ensure that cows or calves are not left hungry, and avoid including salty snacks, biscuits, or cookies in the offerings without checking their ingredients.

Adhering to these guidelines will help ensure a fulfilling and joyous celebration of Janmashtami.
