Former GB hockey player sets up company to help Britain’s renters

A former Great Britain hockey player who abandoned what he once considered his “dream” sport after a freak training injury has launched a new business aimed at improving the experience of private renters.

Josh Pavis, 26, said the broken thumb that kept him off the pitch in 2019 ultimately pushed him toward entrepreneurship, leading first to a multimillion-pound plumbing-supply venture and, later, to founding Rently, a platform that offers rewards to tenants for every pound of rent they pay.
