Olympian’s coffee firm partners with German hockey

An Olympic gold medallist’s coffee business will be shown on all national team jerseys after a deal with the German Hockey Federation.

Munich-based Coffee Fellows, founded by Stefan Tewes, has been named official premium and hospitality partner of the national association.

The partnership will include sponsorship of the European Indoor Hockey Championships in Heidelberg next year, as well as the Pro League in Berlin.

Coffee Fellows’ logo will be shown on Germany men’s and women’s national teams shirts.

Coffee Fellows will promote across its 240 coffee shops and participate in joint marketing campaigns at DHB-organised events. The chain’s business was advertised during last summer’s EuroHockey.

“Hockey stands for fairness, teamwork, and passion – values that also play a major role for us at Coffee Fellows.

“We are delighted to support the national teams and contribute to the promotion of hockey in Germany,” said Tewes, who won gold for Germany at the 1992 Olympic Games.

Founded in 1999, Coffee Fellows is one of Germany’s largest coffee chains. It operates 40 international stores across 11 markets worldwide.
