Euro Hockey 2025: ‘It’s how we unlock that potential’ – Fiona Crackles

Monchengladbach — Fiona Crackles admitted that England women were “physically and more emotionally shattered right now” as they ended their EuroHockey campaign in fifth place.

With the teams up after 6am on this final day, England held off Ireland 2-1 for their fifth EuroHockey win in a row against the Green Army, courtesy of goals from Tess Howard and Darcy Bourne, either side of a fine chipped goal from Katie Mullan.

“It was a difficult one to get our heads up for. It was a more scrappy and frustrating game and we made it more hard work than it should have been,” said Crackles.
