USA men and women will be hoping to boost their build-up to a home Olympics in three years’ time by qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
Uruguay will play host to the Pan American Cups 2025 – running 24 July to 3 August – with the champions punching their tickets to the World Cup in Belgium and Netherlands.
If Argentina women, who have qualified via the Pro League, win the women’s competition in Montevideo, the silver medalists will secure a spot at the World Cup instead.
Argentina men will be favourites to win the men’s tournament. Los Leones have won the last three editions.
Las Leonas, meanwhile, have cantered to six successive title wins since first played in 2001. Chile have finished runners-up in the last two editions.
