England’s Maddie Axford praises hockey coaching duo

Forward Maddie Axford has praised two leading British coaches, John Shaw and Matt Taylor, for the hours of spacial awareness and shooting drills which propelled her to pulling on England colours.

Axford was called up for her first games in February, with England trying out a plethora of new blood. Having already been in deadly touch during her years with University of Nottingham, the 22-year-old netted a superb double in England’s final London leg match against Spain last week.
