Uddingston have signed Australian Glenn Turner in a coup for the Scottish club.
Turner, the former Australian international who has been coaching in the Hockey One and Hockey India League, has signed ahead of the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership season.
Turner, 41, boasts 136 caps and 96 international goals for Australia, along with World Cup and Commonwealth Games golds and Olympic bronze medals.
“When Uddingston explained their ambitions and the ongoing project, it was clear they are very serious about achieving their goals,” said Turner.
“The world-class facilities and the investments made at the club made this decision easy. I’m excited to bring my expertise to help Uddingston reach new heights.”
Club president Allan McGill said: “We have a fantastic young squad, but we identified the need for elite-level role models to support our development on and off the pitch.
“When Glenn expressed interest in joining our project, it was an opportunity we had to seize.”
This signing is part of a broader recruitment drive at Uddingston. The club is committed to building competitive squads in both the men’s and women’s Premiership for the 2025/26 season.
