LX Hockey to host International Grand Masters Festival

LX Hockey will host the 2025 International Grand Masters Hockey Festival to be held in Nottingham between June 29 and July 5.

The Festival is being organised by The LX Hockey Club in celebration of its 30th year and in collaboration with the World Grand Masters Association (WGMA).

From its humble beginnings in February 1995, comprising some 16 members, the LX Hockey Club has now reached its 30th anniversary year and has in excess of 500 members listed.

This is a strictly ‘Spirit of Masters’ festival and no national teams have been invited. There are 46 teams participating from Europe and as far afield as Argentina, USA and Australia.

Teams fall into the age groups of: 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80 for men, and 60, 65 and 70 for women.

The LX teams will include many current international masters players at the different age groups for both men and women.

The stalwart club is hosting four select charities at the Nottingham Festival.

The LX Charity of the Year is Alzheimer’s Society. Three other national and international charities will also be in attendance: The Air Ambulance Service, The Citizens Foundation and The Hockey Museum.
