Hockey India League set to expand to more cities

The Hockey India League reached over 40 million viewers on its return in January as organisers look to expand HIL in 2026 to four cities and cut its squad sizes.

Rourkela and Ranchi were employed as bases for the men’s and women’s competitions respectively for the 2024/25 edition, the first HIL to be played for seven years.
