‘Hockey India League will help Indian players be more inquisitive’

Lily Owsley reflects on playing hockey and adapting to styles in Argentina and India, whether England Hockey’s league could ever go franchise and her plans for the future

Lily, can you sum up the last few months travelling the world in the name of hockey?

They have been some of the best months of my life!

I was desperate to go away, go abroad, experience a different style of play and be a little bit out of my comfort zone.

I love my club, Banco, and Argentina, which is a very special place and has more passion than anything. It is such a family environment and the whole club turns up to every game. I was a long way from home but I’ve never been made to feel more welcome.
