Hockey Writers’ Club seeks volunteer of year nominations

The Hockey Writers’ Club is looking for nominations for the Volunteer of the Year award, which will be announced at its 41st annual awards lunch in February.

English official Rob Jenkins became the inaugural recipient of the HWC Volunteer of the Year award at the 2022 awards.

Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond what would be expected in their role? Nominations can be from any club or region in the UK.

The submission should include:

– What the volunteer role is
– How the volunteer’s involvement has impacted positively on the club or region
– What difference the volunteer has made
– Examples, images or video

Please complete the form by the deadline of Jan 6 at the latest.

A Hockey Writers’ Club judging panel will make the final decision.

The judges will look to award an individual or a team of people, who freely give of their time and expertise, making an outstanding contribution to an event, club or organisation within hockey.

The person nominated should not be in a paid role and the winner does not need to be a member of the HWC.
