An Essex club with over 100 years of history has secured vital sponsorship as it looks to grow in the community.
Braintree have secured a new sponsor for the next two years in independent housebuilder Dandara, whose new Towerlands Park development is close to the club.
As part of the pitch sideboard, Dandara’s logo will be featured at the club’s facilities in Bocking.
Founded in 1903 as Braintree Men’s Hockey Club, the club is one of the leading hockey clubs in Essex.
Bruce Hanley, Operations Manager from Braintree, said: “Thank you to Dandara for their sponsorship and support of our club. We are largely funded by donors and sponsors, so Dandara’s gift will help ensure the club continues to thrive.
“We have a full schedule of matches and events for the new year, and we’re thankful to have Dandara’s support.”
Gemma Bannister, Head of Sales for Dandara Eastern, said: “It’s strong, flourishing local groups like Braintree Hockey Club that bring a sense of community to an area, and we’re pleased to be able to sponsor this wonderful organisation.
“With over 100 years of history in the area, the club has become a vital part of life in Braintree. We’re proud to support them as they continue doing important work and are excited to watch them play over the next two years.”
