“I was lucky to be part of the league in 2016 and experienced a magnificent hockey culture.

Schopman, the former India women’s coach, replaces Valentin Altenburg, who will remain as youth technical director.
She said: “Although it was unexpected, I am very much looking forward to my role with the Danas. It’s a great honour that I’ve been asked to become head coach.
“The team is in good shape and has great potential. I look forward to building on the progress made in recent years. I can’t wait to take on this challenge.”
