Hockey at Los Angeles 2028 Olympics ‘set for wet turf’

The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic hockey pitch looks set to be played on wet turf — with 2030 likely to be the next stage dry turf could be used at a global tournament

With sustainability and the environment remaining a hot topic, as well as 10,000 plus litres of water needed for its international turf, Tayyab Ikram said that the sport was on track to fulfil its desire to use water-free turf when he was inducted as FIH president in late 2022.
