Paris Olympics hockey: Basingstoke know all about the pitch – they play on same design

Basingstoke Hockey Club hailed a brand-new pitch this season – hailed as the first of its kind in the country – and one which the sport’s elite will be playing on at the Paris Olympics.

With 22 teams and nearly 500 members, Basingstoke is one of the biggest hockey clubs in the country with 13 adult teams. The decision to install the innovative pitch surface was driven to provide local players and teams with a world-class facility that enhances performance, safety and playing experience.
