“We created some chances, but the finishing was not there.
“In the next game we need to focus on our finishing. I think we were carrying the ball very well and getting into the circle. The finishing should be there.”
His goal was India’s first penalty corner goal out of 10 chances overall against the 2016 champions.
After Argentina’s 22nd minute opener they bossed proceedings in the third quarter and rued a missed penalty stroke from Maico Casella in the 37th minute.
Tomas Santiago said: “We feel disappointed because we were very close to getting the three points. But we (had) a good match defensively. We were strong. We have been very good at defending penalty corners.
“So we have to continue to try to be more accurate in attack, and be (tight) in defence as well. I think they are the main points that we should try to fix.”
