Hockey Pro League: GB goalkeeper trio aim ‘to do Maddie Hinch proud’

Lee Valley — The last time a GB women’s team beat China in normal time came in Valencia at the Rio qualifying event eight years ago. It was a stout China defence then, as it is now, except that coach Alyson Annan has added some expansion with her task of taking the team to Paris riches.

With China having twice taken out Australia in their last two matches in March, this was certainly going to be a tricky encounter for David Ralph’s side. But, in the end, they kicked off the London leg of their Pro League campaign with a 1-0 victory.
