Promotion followers! First Wrexham hockey, then city’s football club

Wrexham Hockey Club won the men’s North West Men’s Division 6 West South last March. Then the city’s football club recently realised promotion back to the Football League one year later.

Wrexham FC were bought by Hollywood A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in November 2020. There is no question that the pair’s star appeal and TV insight has lifted the club to new heights. Revenue and sponsorship is set to further catapult the club.

A short stroll down the road, sits Wrexham Glyndwr HC, based at the Glyndwr University waterbase pitch which is the only surface of this kind in North Wales.
